Rates quoted the same way by everyone

Corrugated boxes · 2 machines · Pune — Winning more sales

Two salesmen quoted the same box at two different rates in the same week.

What was going wrong

Rate depended on size, ply, board and quantity, and each person calculated it their own way on a notepad.

What changed

A rate card does the sum. Size, ply and quantity in, rate out — the same answer whoever quotes it, with approval needed to go below the floor.

What it changed day to day

• Quotes: Consistent
• Below-floor rates: Need approval
• Response: Same day
